Appliance Installation
New refrigerators, ranges and wall ovens set in, leveled, connected and tested, with the old one hauled away on request.
DetailsConnecting a gas range or dryer is a short job with no room for shortcuts. A new connector, the right fittings, sealant where it belongs and a leak test at every joint, every time.

Gas appliance installation in Jacksonville means connecting a gas range, cooktop or dryer to an existing shutoff valve with a new flexible connector, checking burner operation and flame, converting to propane with the manufacturer's kit when needed, and leak-testing every joint before the appliance is used.
We connect gas appliances to an existing gas shutoff valve at the appliance location: ranges, cooktops, wall ovens and dryers. Every install gets a new flexible connector sized for the appliance, because reusing an old connector is how leaks start. We check that the shutoff valve operates and is accessible after the appliance is pushed into place.
New gas lines, new valves inside walls and meter work belong to a plumber or gas contractor. If your location does not have a usable valve, we tell you before install day so that work can be arranged.
Cost
Gas connections are priced per appliance. A straight swap at an existing valve is the simplest job; propane conversion and longer connectors add to it.
No flat price over the phone. We price after the diagnosis, part and labor separately, so you can decide before any work starts.
The jobs this page covers
We shut the gas valve, remove the old range and connector, inspect the valve and fittings, and connect the new range with a new connector and the correct pressure regulator setting. The anti-tip bracket is fitted, the range is leveled and pushed back without kinking the connector, and each burner and the oven are lit and checked for a clean, steady blue flame. Then every joint we touched is leak-tested with solution, and we show you where the shutoff valve is.

Gas dryers get a new flexible connector, a leak test, and a metal vent connection like any dryer, because a gas dryer also exhausts combustion gases. We run a heat cycle and watch the burner through the sight hole to confirm ignition and a stable flame. Many gas dryers also need a standard three-prong outlet for the motor and controls, and we check that it is present and grounded before install day, so the dryer can be used as soon as we leave.
A leak test is the last step of every gas connection we make, and we also do it as a standalone check when you smell gas near an appliance. We apply leak-detection solution to every joint and fitting at the connection and watch for bubbles, and use an electronic detector where solution cannot reach. If you smell gas strongly in the house, leave first and call your gas utility from outside; once they have cleared it, we can check the appliance connection.
What is included
Plenty of Jacksonville homes cook on natural gas, and in outlying areas without gas mains, ranges and dryers run on propane from a tank. Propane appliances need the manufacturer's conversion kit, with different orifices and a regulator setting, so we confirm the fuel type when you book and bring the kit for your model.
Step by step
Valve shut and old appliance removed.
New connector and fittings, sealant where required.
Solution and detector at every joint.
Burners, oven or dryer flame checked.
Timing
A gas range or dryer swap at an existing valve usually takes about an hour including the leak test and burner checks. A propane conversion adds time because orifices are changed at each burner and the regulator is set, and we light and check every burner afterward.
